The metal fabrication company has been supplying the coachbuilding industry for over 15 years making a variety of metalwork components including aluminium panels for interior trim and exterior bodywork, and tubular steel fabrications for hand poles, grab rails and luggage racks.
With the complete range of metalwork facilities available on site, from laser cutting sheet metal, laser cutting metal tube, CNC tube bending, CNC panel bending, welding, powder coating and assembly, Hydram offers a comprehensive subcontract solution, and providing products with a high-quality hard-wearing finish suitable for service in a public transportation environment.
Metalwork fabrication company Hydram has established itself as a key manufacturer of exterior panels, locker doors, grab poles and luggage racks for the bus and coach industry. It has also supplied heat shields and brackets for cars and aircraft, and is a trusted supplier of various fabrications, assemblies and components for train interiors. As a coachbuilding supplier, Hydram has accumulated a great deal of experience and has an enviable reputation.
As a coachbuilding supplier, Hydram has been manufacturing metalwork assemblies for coachbuilder Alexander Dennis Limited since 2011. ADL is one of the world’s leading bus and coach builders, supplying vehicles to the UK, USA, Canada, Europe, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia and New Zealand and it counts Hydram as a key fabrications supplier.
A range of fabricated products including handpoles, drivers assembled partition panels, racks and locker doors are manufactured by Hydram.
The locker door assemblies fabricated by Hydram involve machining aluminium extrusion, laser cutting and forming of the aluminium skin, before welding, bonding and painting. The doors are fitted with locking mechanisms and gas struts before leaving Hydram’s factory.
The handpoles are manufactured using Hydram’s tube laser cutting and tube bending machines, then powder coated to the customer’s colour specification. Many orders are kitted onto stillages to be delivered direct to the customer’s production lines.
Hydram has been successfully audited by blue-chip companies in this sector and employs coded welders to meet the safety standards of the industry.
Coachbuilding supplier Hydram is certified to the following quality standards:
Sheet metal fabrication company Hydram has been supplying metal products, metal components and precision sheet metal fabrications on a subcontract basis from its 135,000 square foot facility in County Durham, UK for over 45 years, and to the coachbuilding industry for over 15 years.
