Fabrication subcontractor Hydram has been manufacturing assemblies for Alexander Dennis Limited since 2014. ADL is one of the world’s leading bus and coach builders, supplying vehicles to the UK, USA, Canada, Europe, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia and New Zealand and it counts Hydram as a key fabrication supplier.
A range of fabricated products including handpoles, drivers assembled partition panels, racks and locker doors are manufactured by Hydram.
The locker door assemblies fabricated by Hydram involve machining aluminium extrusion, laser cutting and forming of the aluminium skin, before welding, bonding and painting. The doors are fitted with locking mechanisms and gas struts before leaving Hydram’s factory.
The handpoles are manufactured using Hydram’s tube laser cutting and tube bending machines, then powder coated to the customer’s colour specifcation. Many orders are kitted onto stillages to be delivered direct to the customer’s production lines.
