Explore our Comprehensive Sheet Metal Folding Capabilities

We combine automated CNC panel benders and a series of multi-axis press brakes to deliver highly flexible, efficient and cost-effective sheet metal fabrications.

Within our machining capabilities is our state-of-the-art Salvagnini P4Xe panel bender. It provides the ability to bend all four sides of a part automatically, without manual retooling. It also enables exceptional repeatability which ensures consistent part quality across both batch-one and mass production runs.

Through its use we manufacture enclosures and electrical boxes for applications in datacentres, rail infrastructure, power generation and defence.

As the machine’s automated clamping and powered blades enable automatic tool changing we can make significant set up time savings. Which translates to the following benefits to our customers:

The Salvagnini P4Xe panel bender also benefits from adaptive bending technology which means that it can compensate for a range of material thickness and tensile strength variations all in real-time. This reduces waste and ensures the production of precision bends from the first to that last sheet.

This automation also supports the safety and wellbeing of our workforce as it requires less manual handling and skill.

We invested in our first automated panel bender back in 2013, with the Salvagnini P4 2116 panel bender. The ambition was to remove some of the manual handling associated with operating press brakes across high-volume projects, and the P4 and now P4Xe have done that – and much more. By continuing to invest in state-of-the-art machinery and equipment we’ve been able to be more flexibility and increase our efficiencies.

However, alongside our investment in automation we’ve continued to upskill our employees who continue to use our fleet of multi-axis press brakes, which are capable of handling more complex and bespoke angles.

We currently maintain a number of press brakes that have varying capabilities with a maximum bend length of 4 metres and a maximum force of 250 tonnes. And hold a number of tools on site – often bespoke to our clients across rail and off-highway.
