This hands-on role is ideal for someone with experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment who takes pride in producing high-quality work.

You will be responsible for operating CNC press brake machinery and other metal forming equipment to produce sheet metal components for a wide range of customers, including many world-class blue-chip companies.

 

Position Details:

• Full-time, permanent position.

• Shift work.

• Training and support provided to ensure ongoing development and progression within the business.

• Applicants must be 18 or over for health and safety reasons.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate press brake and associated metal forming machinery.

• Configure bend allowances for a variety of materials (stainless steel, aluminium, and mild steel).

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, work instructions, and specifications.

• Load and unload components to and from machinery efficiently and safely.

• Create and modify multi-fold programs to ensure parts meet drawing requirements.

• Select appropriate punches, dies, and tooling based on material specifications and design radii.

• Use dimensional and precision measurement tools to verify product accuracy.

• Maintain high standards of quality, productivity, and safety at all times.

• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the production process.

 

Skills/Attributes:

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.

• Takes responsibility for the quality, quantity, and inspection of work performed.

• Previous experience in engineering, manufacturing, or metal fabrication.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Good understanding of health and safety procedures in a manufacturing environment.

• Reliable, punctual, and proactive approach to work.

• Basic understanding of CNC machine operations (preferred but not essential).

 

Qualifications:

• Experience in a high-volume, fast-paced manufacturing or industrial environment.

• Engineering or manufacturing-related qualification desirable but not essential.

• Demonstrated competency in operating machinery or equipment safely and effectively.

Shift Patterns

Early Shift:

Monday-Thursday 6:00am-2:30pm, Friday 6:00am-12:30pm

Back Shift:

Monday-Thursday 2:30pm-11pm, Friday 12:30pm-7pm

 

Please note that we reserve the right to move to 3 shifts, with consultation.
