An opportunity has arisen for a Quality Technician to join the Quality Team.
You will work in a busy inspection office, as part of a dedicated quality team carrying out all aspects of inspection work.
The role will also involve working on the shopfloor carrying out inspections at various stages of the manufacturing process as well as investigating internal rejects.
You will work with other departments to ensure that all compliance obligations are met and raise any quality concerns at the earliest possible stage.
You will also have to produce first article inspections and PPAP’s as well as generate and maintain all quality records as required.
The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate that they have previously worked within a quality team in a sheet metalwork, engineering or similar environment.
Experience of rail, aerospace or defence sectors would be a distinct advantage.
It is essential that you are competent in using all types of basic measuring equipment; experience in the use of a Faro measuring arm would be advantageous.
You must have the ability to understand and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications and be familiar with geometric tolerancing.
You will be IT proficient in Microsoft Office packages, including, Outlook, Word and Excel.
You will also have excellent communication skills, with the ability to give clear verbal and written instructions as well as have an enthusiastic attitude, attention to detail, together with the ability to work to deadlines and a flexible approach.
