An opportunity has arisen for a Machinist/Toolmaker to join a fast-paced machine shop environment.
You will be responsible for the manufacture of components from technical drawings; a high level of workmanship is required in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
You will work within a small bespoke manufacturing section, specialising in the manufacture, modification and design of jigs, fixtures, work holding and tooling; to support a sheet metal manufacturing facility.
You will also be required to strip and repair press tooling.
You will operate all toolroom equipment safely ensuring the necessary PPE is used at all times.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate proven experience using manual machine processes including vertical milling machines, centre lathes and surface grinding equipment.
You must be able to read and work from engineering drawings, be a team player and be able to work to tight deadlines.
Preferably a time served in a toolroom or machinist environment.
