Engineering Technician, Manufacturing & Engineering

As a Sheet Metal Work technician the role will involve the development of skills in order to allow the effective programming, set-up and use of a range of CNC controlled equipment enabling the production of precision components for a range of customers and sectors.

Activities

To carry out a variety of technical duties related to the role, competently and efficiently with training and/or support as appropriate.

Training and developing skills within the Sheet Metal industry using a variety of CNC and traditional techniques to produce a high quality product.

To take pride in their work, being able to say with confidence that it is a quality product from a world class manufacturing facility.

To deliver the best possible standards to our customers (both internal and external) at all times by working efficiently and effectively at all times, never compromising on health and safety and being aware of the environmental impact of our activities.

Training and Qualifications

As an EAL training centre, Hydram engineering is able to delvier in house the required qualifications to meet the Apprentiship Standard.

•Employer approved Level 2 Foundation Knowledge and Competence qualifications

•Employer approved Level 3 Development Competence qualification.

•Employer approved Level 3 Development Technical Knowledge qualification.

•Apprentices without Level 2 English and Maths will need to achieve this level prior to taking end point assessment.

Expected career progression

Possible further study at Higher Apprenticeship and to specialise knowledge within the Sheet Metal Sector and to develop and expand skills and knowledge learnt.
